Polymap

Polymap is an interactive installation in which participants use their silhouettes to algorithmically generate geometric formations from live video feed. Hosted in Thessaloniki Concert Hall for the WIAD Greece 2015 event.

The software analyses and computes abstractions of image information using algorithms to automaticall detect points of great interest for colour averaging and mesh topology generation. The system allows for dynamic control of both mesh density and colour segmentation and the output is content dependent, varying from solid triangles to wireframes.
